Patio heaters are a fairly fresh development.

 They can make life outside more delightful in those cold evenings in late summer and fall.

Many people enjoy being outside maybe having a get together with family and friends. So many summer evenings turn cold though that you don't do this as frequently as you want to. Imagine having the ability to eat outside for 52 weeks of the year if you select. Well with a good patio heater you can do this.

A patio heater won't do anything to guard you from wind and rain though , so to be pragmatic you might eat outside thru many spring and fall evenings, instead of just the few weeks in summer.

There's nothing quite like eating out of doors to whet the appetite. You might prefer to use your new heater simply to admire the stars, of course, or for romantic evenings with your partner. When you have a heated outside area there are all sorts of uses that it can be employed for.

It actually does extend your living space for a miniscule cost. You might make a heated eating area outside and even set up and prepare an area that can be very useful, (even for your friends and family who have not kicked the smoking habit yet), but you have banned smoking from your home and still choose to brave the elements for that puff.

 Many bars, hostels and theaters do this where there's a ban on smoking within in communal areas. You might go out there and mingle comfortably. You may have a popcorn maker out there, in a covered area and have popcorn much more frequently.

Electrical patio heaters are suitable where they can be wired into a covered area, otherwise the propane fuelled heaters are far more acceptable for most people. In short...a patio heater could very well be a good investment.
